{{Above Photos courtesy of MichelleB. Photography}} HI! My name is Courtney! Or sometimes I spell it with a "K". I live at home with my love and our 3 dogs. I am 22 years old and I bake! I love baking Cupcakes and everything else. I have a little online bakery that just focuses on cupcakes. But I can just about bake anything. I am trying to be more crafty, so I am working on some new crafts and ideas and trying to create a work space. I stay pretty busy and trying to do two things at once can be hard sometimes. I also do some photography work, I am trying to work that in with my crafts and cupcakes.
Why do you do what you do?
My mother is what got me into baking along with my sister. I just love baking and it keeps me busy. The way I see it is that do something that you are good at and love. We only have one life, so enjoy it. Even if we gain a few pounds. (:
Tell us a little about your background?
Well lets see... Everything I have learn is from my mom and family. Oh and google. I did take a photography class last year.
Who are you most inspired by?
I say my mom. She is a modern day Gypsy. She is always on the move and always up to something. She is very free spirited and loving.
What work do you most enjoying doing?
Photography and Making pretty cupcakes. I can't pick just one.
What themes do you pursue?
Girlie or vintage. Though some of my photographs tend to look a little edgy.
Describe a real-life situation that inspired you?
It has been about a year since I became obsessed with cupcakes, it all started with my tattoo, Which its a cupcake. I love to bake so that's the reason why I got it, but after I got the tat I thought about why not bake just cupcakes? So the tattoo inspired me to bake the cupcakes, which later I began wanting to start a little business. Visiting Cupcake bakeries has also inspired me. George Town Cupcakes was one of my favorites.
What song/songs/music genres inspire you?
I listen to Indie Rock, which I see as very colorful music. There are so many songs, but one that sticks out to me at the moment is Pumped up Kicks by Foster the People and Cameras by Matt and Kim.
What do you dislike about your work?
When it comes to Cupcakes, is waiting for them to cool and putting the frosting in pastry bags. It is so messiy.
Photography, there is always something wrong with the computer and bad weather.
What do you like about your work?

Name something you love, and why.
My favorite cupcake is Cookies and Cream. They taste just like a milkshake and they smell so wonderful!
What is your dream project?
Opening a bakery.
Favorite or most inspirational place?
I love going into cooking stores or places that have girlie things.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
Never give up on your dream and stay positive.
Professionally, what’s your goal?
Have a little cupcake shop of my own. But right now I have a good month of cupcakes sells. At least 3 orders a week for the month of Jan.
