Tell us, Who are you and what do you do?
I am Danielle, owner of Sugar 'n Spice Aprons. I create handmade women's aprons ranging from retro to sexy styles.

Why do you do what you do?
I always wanted to learn to sew as a kid. When I was 16, I actually decided to do it and taught myself how to sew. Aprons were my item of choice, because they were more challenging to sew for a beginner and because I knew my mom would wear all of the "practice" aprons I made while I was learning.

Who are you most inspired by?
I guess, professionally, I'm most inspired by Martha Stewart. She started small, just a small catering business out of her home, and she took it to the heights that is today. Amazing!

What work do you most enjoying doing?
Sewing IS my favorite work. Which is why I love my business so much!

What themes do you pursue?
Vintage, vintage, vintage. Lol. I'm obsessed with everything vintage.

What song/songs/music genres inspire you?
I play violin, so I really love classical music. But, I'm also a huge fan of oldies, like from the 20s through the 50s.

What is your dream project?
Working on a huge order of aprons that is going to be sold in a major department store, therefore sending my business into the big leagues! :)

Favorite or most inspirational place?
You know..I don't know yet. I haven't gotten to travel nearly as much as I'd like to yet.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
It's actually in the form of a prayer: "Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things that I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

Professionally, what’s your goal?
To one day be a huge name in my chosen field, just like Martha Stewart.
